We are introducing a new position within the GMO Services organization to enhance our approach to governing, scaling, and adopting services best practices across the globe. This role offers an internal candidate a unique chance to shape its responsibilities; together, we will establish suitable forums and an effective operating rhythm, ensuring the Center of Excellence becomes a practical driver for value-focused growth, increased ARR, risk mitigation, and quicker time-to-market.
The Center of Excellence (CoE) Manager establishes the governance for CoE initiatives, aligns stakeholders, and ensures consistent execution. You drive clarity through defined forums, unify and communicate outputs, and oversee deployment and adoption of CoE materials. You prioritize new initiatives based on market demand and work closely with initiative owners to develop packaged best practices—focused on value-based growth, ARR growth, risk reduction, and faster time-to-market. By actively monitoring market trends and customer needs, you ensure CoE strategies remain relevant and responsive, enabling the organization to address evolving demands efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Owns CoE governance (cadence, forums, decision rights) and facilitates contributors and the functional leaders of CoE.
- Aligns market demand, scope, and priorities for CoE initiatives.
- Defines CoE standards and drives adoption across the organization.
- Ensures CoE outputs are consistent and clearly communicated to stakeholders.
- Oversees deployment of CoE materials and supports readiness together with owners.
- Prioritizes and sequences the CoE initiative roadmap.
- Provides governance input to pricing models and project frameworks.
- Supports operational audits and continuous improvement.
- A pivotal role in building the new GMO Services operating model and scaling what “good” looks like globally.
