Job description

Do you want to define and drive the functional vision of a global enterprise platform? At Planon, part of Schneider Electric, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our Planon Application Framework (PAF). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring functional coherence across our platform, translating business needs into scalable capabilities, and establishing a strong functional foundation that supports long-term growth and innovation. 

This role operates at the intersection of business, product, and technology. You will work closely with the CTO, CPO, and other senior stakeholders to align functional strategy with platform architecture and product direction. 
 
What will you do 

  • Define and own the PAF functional strategy and roadmap, ensuring clarity of scope and long-term direction. 
  • Establish and maintain a core functional capability model, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform. 
  • Ensure functional coherence and structural integrity across all platform capabilities and solution domains. 
  • Translate business and solution needs into structured, reusable platform capabilities. 
  • Drive prioritisation of platform capabilities based on strategic value, platform integrity, and risk. 
  • Act as decision authority in cross-domain functional discussions impacting the core platform. 
  • Define and safeguard functional principles behind TSI, PSS2, and UX/UI consistency, ensuring unified interaction and configuration behaviour. 
  • Collaborate closely with the CTO to align functional design with technical architecture. 
  • Align with the Technical Director on regulatory topics (ISO, NIS2, SIEM), ensuring compliance considerations are reflected in the functional design. 
  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers and Functional Designers, fostering strong modelling discipline and a platform-first mindset. 
  • Establish functional guardrails and governance, ensuring new developments remain aligned with platform strategy.

Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria: 

  • 10+ years of experience in functional strategy, product management, in an enterprise software environment. 
  • Strong track record in working across business, product, and technology domains. 
  • Proven experience in defining scalable platform capabilities and operating models. 
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams within a product or platform environment. 
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex needs into structured solutions. 
  • Decisive and strategic thinker, able to balance long-term vision with pragmatic execution. 
  • Experience working in complex, evolving organizations with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Highly proactive and autonomous, fluent in English is a must.
