2026-1822 - Senior UX Designer

Functie : Product Development - Development/Senior UX Designer (Visual & Interaction)
Dienstverband : Vast
Functiebeschrijving :
At Planon, part of Schneider Electric, we help organizations connect buildings, people and processes through smart, sustainable building management software. Our solutions support areas such as corporate real estate, facility management, workplace services, and asset management, enabling customers worldwide to manage critical operations more effectively.
As a UX Designer, you will shape digital experiences for enterprise software used by customers around the globe. You will translate user needs and complex business challenges into clear, intuitive, and engaging product experiences while exploring how AI-enabled capabilities can make workflows smarter, more transparent, and easier to use.
You will work closely with customers, product managers, product owners, developers, architects, and fellow UX designers. Through customer interviews, research, workshops, and usability testing, you will help ensure that design decisions are grounded in real user needs and aligned with Planon’s UX standards.

What we can challenge you with:
Research user needs through customer interviews, stakeholder conversations, workshops and usability testing, then translate insights into clear design direction.
Create customer journeys, personas, workflows, wireframes, prototypes and high fidelity designs that simplify complex enterprise software experiences.
Design intuitive, accessible and visually consistent user experiences for B2B software, with attention to usability, interaction patterns and WCAG principles.
Collaborate with Product Management, Product Owners, Development, Architecture and UX colleagues to move concepts from discovery through implementation.
Validate and improve product concepts through iterative testing, feedback and data informed design decisions.
Contribute to Planon’s design system, UX standards and cross domain design consistency.
Explore AI enabled product experiences such as recommendations, automation, conversational interfaces and decision support features, ensuring they remain transparent, trustworthy and easy to understand.

You combine user empathy with structured design thinking and the ability to work confidently with technical and product stakeholders. You communicate clearly, collaborate proactively, and are comfortable turning complex workflows into simple, usable digital experiences.

This role is a great fit if:
You have a minimum of 5 years of UX design experience, ideally with B2B software, SaaS, or enterprise applications.
You can independently conduct user research, identify user needs, and translate findings into practical design solutions.
You are experienced in creating customer journeys, workflows, wireframes, prototypes, visual designs and high fidelity designs, preferably using Figma or similar tools.
You understand usability, accessibility, WCAG, and interaction design principles, and apply them in day-to-day design decisions.
You communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders, and can explain design choices in a clear, structured way.
You are fluent in English. Dutch language skills are a plus where relevant for customer or local stakeholder interaction.
You have a portfolio that demonstrates UX projects, design thinking, and your ability to solve complex user problems.
A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, HTML/CSS understanding, or experience with AI-enabled UX is considered advantageous.
