As part of our development organization of more than 200 talented professionals, you will play a key role in developing both core platform capabilities and customer-facing functionality. You will work across the full technology stack, collaborating closely with product owners, UX designers, architects, and fellow developers to deliver innovative, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

What you’ll do
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Java Enterprise technologies and modern engineering practices.

Apply object-oriented design principles, architectural standards, and appropriate design patterns.
Translate customer and business requirements into reusable solutions that create value across multiple clients.
Collaborate with developers, designers, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders throughout software delivery.
Improve software architecture, development processes, engineering tools, and quality practices.<br /><br />
A company is nothing without its people. Our diverse group of employees is the beating heart of our business and the key to our collective success. To continue that success, we are looking for someone who is passionate about software development, eager to share knowledge, and able to combine strong technical expertise with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.

This role is a great fit if you:
You have a minimum of eight years of relevant software-development experience in Java 8+ and object-oriented development, including collections, exception handling, multithreading, design patterns, and unit testing (JUnit).
You have experience with Java Enterprise technologies and application servers such as WildFly and Tomcat.
You have proven experience designing and developing REST APIs, backend services, and working with relational databases and SQL.
You have hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, and SCSS.
You have solid understanding of software architecture and full-stack application development; experience with component libraries such as AG Grid, Kendo UI, or similar is an advantage.
You have proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, and a drive to contribute to Planon's continued market leadership.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

What makes you successful
A consistent focus on software quality, testing, scalability, and maintainability.
The ability to work effectively across front-end and back-end technologies.
Clear communication and effective collaboration across disciplines.
The ability to balance architectural quality, delivery priorities, and customer value.
Commitment to learning and applying relevant technologies and engineering practices.<br />

<b>Contract type : </b>Permanent<br />
<b>Position description : </b><br />
At Planon, part of Schneider Electric, we help organizations connect buildings, people, and processes through smart, sustainable building management software. Our solutions support areas such as corporate real estate, facility management, workplace services, and asset management for organizations around the world.

Embedded within the CPO organization, the program manager for Schneider Electric integrations will lead the coordination and governance of a strategic integration portfolio spanning multiple workstreams. The role is responsible for creating clarity, fostering cross-functional alignment, and providing executive visibility across product, technology, business, and operational domains. By proactively managing dependencies, risks, and decision-making processes, you will help teams execute effectively while ensuring accountability remains within the respective workstreams.
In this role, you will create reliable program governance, prepare decision-making materials, track progress against milestones, and ensure risks and dependencies are addressed in a fact-based and results-driven way. Your impact will come from enabling alignment, transparency, and timely decision-making rather than taking over detailed execution from workstream leads.
What we can challenge you with
Coordinate the SE Integrations program across multiple workstreams, including milestones, dependencies, priorities, and critical resources.
Create visibility on progress, risks, issues, and decisions through clear reporting, governance materials, roadmaps, and action plans.
Proactively identify blockers and problem areas, support root-cause analysis, and work with stakeholders to drive timely resolution or escalation.
Track product and technical milestones, including Gantt planning, outcomes, release planning, and cross-workstream dependencies.
Prepare governance meetings, decision points, escalations, and follow-up actions to support effective and fact-based decision-making.
Maintain high-quality program documentation, including plans, monthly reports, risk logs, issue logs, and decision logs.
Support migration and business continuity planning with workstream leads while preserving clear execution ownership within each team. <br /><br />
You combine structured program management with strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills. You are comfortable working in complex software, integration, transformation, or enterprise technology environments where clarity, alignment, and ownership are essential.
This role is a great fit if you:
You have a minimum of 10 years of program management experience in complex software, integration, transformation, or enterprise technology environments.
Can coordinate multiple workstreams, manage dependencies, and create transparent reporting on progress, risks, issues, and decisions.
Translate complex program information into clear governance materials, roadmap updates, action plans, and executive-level reporting.
Collaborate effectively with product, technology, business, and operational stakeholders, with strong facilitation and communication skills.
Work in a structured, fact-based, and results-driven way, with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous or fast-moving situations.
Understand how to enable coordination and alignment while ensuring detailed execution ownership remains with the workstream leads.
Excellent command of English; Dutch language skills are considered a plus.
A relevant bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent professional experience in facility management and real estate management, is preferred. <br />

At Planon, the global market leader in building management software, we help mission critical organizations worldwide. You will join a security function that is well established and moving into its next phase of maturity.
